What About Outposts?

Outposts are people who live in geographic areas without face-to-face GSA meetings. Outposts participate in the service structure in two ways:

  • As members of phone bridge meetings. The GSRs from the phone bridge meetings the outpost attends would represent the outpost at the Phone Bridge Intergroup. The Phone Bridge Intergroup Service Representative(s) attend the World Service Conference to represent the phone bridge meetings.
  • By attending intergroup meetings for their geographic area. Outposts then participate in discussions of issues that affect GSA in their geographic area. They also obtain support for starting a face to face meeting in their area. They do not vote on issues before the area intergroup as they are not GSRs.
