Nominating Committee

Nominating Committee Procedures

  1. The Nominating Committee consists of seven members in 2019.  The Board asked the Structure Committee to put together a committee and these seven were available to work on the job from March through August. All have between 4-41 years of abstinence.
  2. The NC is working to get a slate of 12 GSA candidates and one Class B Trustee (not a compulsive eater) that will be presented at the World Service Conference 2019.
  3. In our Bylaws, it suggests three-year rotation of trustees and officers, so we are trying to achieve that goal.
  4. Anyone who meets the criteria below may fill out a Nomination Form,  attach his/her résumé/background to it and send it in to the email address below.
  5. In August, the Chair of the NC will present to the WSC delegates the candidates and share their experience and strengths and explain the reasons for recommendation.
  6. The accepted slate will join the Board at the October meeting following the WSC.
  7. After WSC 2019, the NC will maintain a list of interested candidates in case of any vacancy.
    1. Sources may come from the prospective board member or another GreySheeter.
    2. Within 30 days of receiving a suggestion, the NC will ensure that the candidate is willing and eligible to accept a position on the Board before adding him/her to the list.
